Chris Firkus began working for Midwest Natural Resources as a wetlands biologist in Spring 2013. His work has been focused wetland related project work in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Chris holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and a M.S. in Environmental Science & Policy, both from University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. His thesis compared side-scan sonar use with traditional transect techniques for benthic habitat analysis in shallow lotic systems, which was statically comparable with past methods as well as future advancements and demonstrated substantial savings in time and cost. His volunteer experience includes river restoration design and watershed management planning.
