
Brandon has been working at MNR since 2011 and serves in the capacity of forest ecologist. He is a graduate from Michigan Technological University with a BS in Applied Ecology and Environmental Science. Brandon is responsible for conducting forest inventories for both state and federal land managers in the upper Midwest. These projects have included an array of sampling techniques across a variety of land ownerships. Since joining MNR, he has increased his biological field skills, especially in areas of botany and wetlands working on intensive vegetation monitoring projects as well as rare plant surveys in northern Minnesota. These projects have included wetland and prairie monitoring as well as rare plant surveys for the Superior and Chippewa National Forests. He has additionally been involved with bat habitat surveys in Illinois and Missouri.
