
Ken Arndt has a B.S. in Urban Forestry from the University of Minnesota with over 15 years of professional experience in the natural resource consulting field. As a Forest Ecologist and Wetland Specialist with MNR his responsibilities will focus on natural resource projects within the Twin Cities metro and surrounding areas and will include conducting tree certifications and inventories, tree preservation planning, land cover mapping, botanical inventories, rare plant and community surveys, wetland delineation, permitting and monitoring, and technical/scientific report writing.
Having worked throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and much of Minnesota, Ken has gained extensive experience with all aspects of managing many different types of natural resource-based projects. He has built strong professional relationships with local Natural Resource Managers, City Foresters, Watershed and Conservation Districts, and State and Federal Agencies where his work is well respected. He excels at the identification of the native trees, shrubs, and woody plants of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest, as well as native herbaceous species.
Mr. Arndt is a Certified Arborist and a member of several professional and non-profit organizations including the International and Minnesota Society of Arboriculture, Minnesota Wetland Professionals Association, and the Minnesota Native Plant Society. He currently serves as a board member for the Minnesota Native Plant Society where he also coordinates field trip activities for the organization.
