Midwest Natural Resources (MNR) is seeking applicants for fulltime and seasonal field positions with a wetland focus. Applicants must have basic experience with the field identification of the regional flora, other aspects of field biology, and/or soils for the Upper Midwest or Great Plains.
Qualifications include:
An academic background in natural resources (BS or higher with degrees in botany, soils, plant ecology, or wetlands ecology), strong technical writing, field experience, GIS/GPS coursework, with analytical skills a plus.
Further job requirements include:
- Wetland delineation experience
- Experience with dichotomous keys
- Knowledge of Minnesota and Wisconsin flora
- Experience with soil sampling
- Technical writing
- Working knowledge of ESRI software and GPS equipment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in extreme weather
- Enjoyment of the outdoors
- Ability to work long hours in the field
- Works well within a team setting
- Travel for extended periods of time throughout the field season
- Must live or be willing to live in the Twin Cities metro region
- Must have a valid driver’s license
